A trial date has been set for a Kearney man charged with making explosives out of his home.

Daniel Sindt, 43, is charged with felony possession of a destructive device and unlawful possession of explosives. Friday morning, a judge scheduled Sindt's trial date for July 8.

Officers were called to Sindt's home on reports of medication theft in November.

Police reports say that while officers were searching the home they found a small explosive and other elements needed to make more bombs like it.

Sindt's estranged wife says her twin six–year–old boys were also involved in making the explosives.
