NORTH PLATTE, Neb.
(AP) — Railroad officials are investigating an accident involving a
tanker car full of chlorine that tipped over in North Platte.
The accident occurred a little after 6 a.m. Monday at Union Pacific's Bailey Yard.
teams were called in and nearby vehicular traffic was stopped, but the
car didn't leak any deadly fumes and no injuries were reported.
Union Pacific spokesman Mark Davis says the car came free during sorting and rolled down a track into a derailing device.
Davis says the railroad is investigating the incident.
