GI Police Investigate Skull Missing from Doctors Office

Posted: Updated:

Talk about losing your head -- a human skull is missing from a Grand Island doctor's office, and police are investigating it as a burglary.

Officer Butch Hurst says police reports identify it as an "articulated human skull", valued at $5,000.

It was found to be missing on April 30 from 908 N. Howard, a medical office building near St. Francis Medical Center.

The skull was in a storage unit in the basement. It has no markings on it.

Officer Hurst said it's possible the skull disappeared several months ago.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Grand Island Police Department at 308-385-5400 or Crimestoppers at 308-381-8822.
