Lexington Trike-A-Thon Promotes Bicycle Safety, Raises Money for St. Jude's Children Hospital

The Early Learning Academy in Lexington, Neb. will be hosting a trike-a-thon Thursday, May 9 to promote bicycle and tricycle safety as well as to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The trike-a-thon will teach safety tips with coloring sheets, stories and riding activities. The children will be able to showcase their riding skills at the Dawson County Fairgrounds from 5-6:30 p.m.

Parents will collect tax-deductible donations to sponsor their child for the event. The proceeds will then go to the children's hospital.

There will also be a dinner held that includes a hamburger, chips, drink and dessert for $3. In addition to the dinner, there will be a variety of raffle prizes. Raffle tickets are 50 cents each.
