The public is being invited to attend the Nebraska State Patrol's 2013 Nebraska Law Enforcement Memorial Day Ceremony in Grand Island.
The ceremony is being held on Monday, May 13 at 10 a.m. at the Nebraska Law Enforcement Memorial, 409 E. Fonner Park Road. The memorial honors 130 Nebraska officers who gave their lives in the line of duty.
Nebraska U.S. Marshal Mark Martinez and Lincoln Bishop James Conley will be speaking at the event with NSP representatives and individuals from agencies all across the state in attendance.
The Iron Warriors Motorcycle Club will be holding a separate event on Saturday, May 11 at the memorial. Sen. Annette Dubas will join the group at 4 p.m. to speak.
