The Nebraska corn crop is faring far
better than some other states' crops including neighboring Iowa. 75-percent of
the Neb. corn crop has been rated to be in good or excellent condition.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture reported
that Nebraska's corn is 100-percent emerged, in line with the normal average.
Soggy fields have hampered planting in
Iowa where 6-percent of the crop has yet to be planted.
Nebraska's soybeans are in 77-percent
