Applications for the 2013 Sworn Officer Selection Process for the position of Nebraska State Patrol Trooper are currently being accepted through August 1 for consideration for the 55th Basic Recruit Camp scheduled to begin on February 10.

The beginning salary for a recruit is $31,886 annually. Upon graduation the salary will increase to $44,137 annually. Other career benefits include paid vacation and sick leave, medical insurance, life insurance and full retirement benefits.
Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen and 21 years of age by July 25, 2014, when they take the oath of office. They must also have a high school diploma or GED equivalence.
