It was an early morning for firefighters.
At around 5:15 Friday morning, Elwood Fire Department was called to the scene to tackle the flames along Kirby Point at Johnson Lake.
Crews from Lexington and Cozad were soon called for additional man power and water.
Officials have reported that at least three cabins were involved in the fire. One cabin burned down completely, and the other two suffered major damage.
"Three structures at this time have been damaged. The main structure and then two on the other sides of it as well. The main structure is completely gone and we lost part of a dwelling and then part of another dwelling to the north of it also," stated Elwood Fire Chief Kevin Bollis.
No injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
