The Nebraska Chamber of Commerce & Industry along with the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 2013 Nebraska Legislative Summit to cover several legislative issues impacting local businesses.
The summit is set for Thursday, August 8 from 8:25 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Strategic Air & Space Museum.
The goal of the summit is to bring business leaders up to speed on the latest developments in Washington D.C. as well as at the State Capitol.
Talking points for the event include:
An update on federal issues from Nebraska's U.S. senators and
New information from state lawmakers regarding the Legislature's
study of Nebraska's tax
Remarks by Governor Dave Heineman; and
A special presentation by keynote speaker Dr. Martin Regalia,
Senior Vice President and Chief Economist at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
