Agriculture drives this state and now kids are connecting food and fuel back to the farm through a new event at the Hall County Fair.
They're calling it Little Feet on the Farm. It's a project of the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce.
Ag literacy is a big focus for members of the business organization on the Chamber's Ag Committee.
They worry kids don't understand. that the reason their parents have jobs is because of agriculture.
Joe Law of Farm Credit Services said, "There are so many jobs agriculture provides for the state that, as our job, we're not directly producing but our jobs are directly related to agriculture and Nebraska goes as agriculture goes."
Farm Credit Services of America supported the project with a $1,000 donation.
Kiddoes and parents can check out this new exhibit, pedaling tractors, picking fruits and veggies all weekend at the Hall County Fair in the Exhibition Building.
