Jack Hoffman, an 8-year-old boy from Atkinson, Neb., was in Los Angeles Wednesday where he accepted an ESPY award for best moment.
Jack, who has been diagnosed with pediatric brain cancer and is the face of the TeamJack Foundation, was nominated for the award after making his way into the hearts of millions of Americans who saw him run for a 69-yard touchdown at the Nebraska spring game in April.
Jack was suited up with the number 22 on his back, the number of best friend Rex Burkhead, when he took a handoff from quarterback Taylor Martinez. He then ran for 69 yards before being lifted up on the team's shoulders to celebrate his touchdown.
The video of Jack's touchdown run has been featured on national TV and has been viewed more than 8 million times on YouTube.
Jack took to the stage Wednesday with his dad, Andy Hoffman, to accept his award. He thanked everyone that voted for him for joining his team and for joining the fight against pediatric brain cancer.
