Local artists get their shot at success as art shows continue throughout the summer.
Over the weekend, Grand Island held its 31st annual 'Art In The Park' at Stolley Park.
Community artists came out full force this year; some who are well established, but with a few choosing this venue to debut a new medium.
Artists say it's a great way to gain experience.
"It's very fun, I liked it, been really busy, great turnout, sold quite a few paintings," said spray paint artist Ruben Luna. "I know what to do next time and more of a setup, stuff like that, so I think that will help me on the next one I do."
This year's event brought in more than 60 vendors including artists, live entertainment, and children's art activities.
Plans are already underway for next year's event.
