Tie-Dye Apple Slices

 

All you need:
1 package (3 oz.) Sugar Free Hy-Vee gelatin, any flavor - red, green, orange or yellow colors
4 whole apples, any variety


All you do:

1.          Pour dry gelatin into a clean salt shakers.

2.          Cut apples into slices - 6 slices per each half apple.

3.          Sprinkle the cut sides of each apple slice with gelatin. The colors will brighten as the gelatin picks up the apple's juice.

4.          Serve immediately.

Frozen Banana Dogs

 

All you need:

7-8 Bananas

Popsicle sticks

Large tub of Greek yogurt

Toppings of your choice (chocolate sprinkles, crushed cereal, chopped nuts, and/or sweetened coconut all work well).

 

All you do:

1.       Peel and cut bananas into halves or thirds.

2.       Push popsicle stick part way into the cut side of the banana.

3.       Dip the banana into the yogurt.  Use a rubber spatula or spoon to help cover the banana evenly with the yogurt.

4.       Lay the yogurt-covered bananas on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet.

5.       Freeze for one hour.

6.       Pour sprinkles or other topping(s) in shallow bowl(s).

7.       Remove yogurt-covered bananas from freezer and roll in sprinkles or other toppings.

8.       Freeze on parchment paper-lined cookie sheet for another hour, then store in freezer bags.
