11th Annual Duck Pluck in Grand Island

Posted: Updated:

Event leaders need the community's help to make the 11th annual Duck Pluck a successful event.

The actual event will take place September 7 at the YMCA, but first a kick off event is being held at Buffalo Wild Wings on August 1. Participants will have a chance to adopt a duck to win the $5,000 grand prize as well as other cash and goods prizes.

The Duck Pluck supports Leadership Tomorrow and Youth Leadership Tomorrow in Hall County.

The programs work to create leaders who are committed to developing and utilizing positive leadership skills to improve the community.

Leadership Tomorrow aims to provide information about key community issues and work in cooperation with community leaders and decision makers to cultivate responsive leaders.

The mission of Youth Leadership Tomorrow is to provide community education and leadership development training to high school students through experiential learning activities that connect youth to their community and inspire them to be problem solvers, decision makers, and future leaders in our community.
