Impaired drivers will be the focus of a special enforcement effort in Hall County Saturday and Sunday.
Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol will be working with the Hall County Sheriff's Office to conduct DUI checkpoints and high visibility patrols throughout Hall County August 3-4.
The enforcement is aimed at reducing the potential for alcohol related crashes by promoting voluntary compliance.
Chris Kolb, Commander Troop C said, "We encourage all motorists to join us in
keeping our roads safe and accident free," NSP Captain Chris Kolb said. "Remember to always wear your seat
belt and never drive impaired or distracted."
A $ 2,375 grant from the
Nebraska Office of Highway Safety will help pay for overtime hours used
by troopers and communication specialists during the special enforcement.
