A Scottsbluff man accused of robbing a bank on the day before Thanksgiving has reached a plea deal with prosecutors.
Michael Scott, 42, pleaded guilty to robbing a Valley Bank branch in Scottsbluff Thursday in Scotts Bluff County District Court.
As part of the plea deal, Scotts Bluff County Attorney
Doug Warner has agreed not to refile theft and fraud charges related to
more than $8,000 in losses with bank ATM cards.
Scott will be sentenced at
the end of September. He pleaded guilty last month to possession of
methamphetamine in connection with the bank robbery.
he was sentenced in May to at least a year in prison for assaulting an
inmate at the county jail.
He faces sentencing for the robbery at the end of September.
