Teen to Stand Trial as Adult in North Platte Stabbing Case
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (AP) - A 16-year-old boy will stand trial as an adult in
the July stabbings of 2 North Platte youth group home workers.
The teen waived his preliminary
hearing on Thursday, and the attempted murder case was moved to Lincoln County
Authorities say two female workers were stabbed several times on July 9. Both
The 16-year-old and another 18-year-old resident were arrested later than day
in the stolen vehicle of 1 of the workers. Both teens have been charged as
adults with attempted first-degree murder and weapons counts.
