York County Officer Involved in Shoot-Out with Suspect
Authorities have released the name of a man wounded during an exchange of gunshots with a York County deputy.
According to York County Sheriff Dale Radcliff, the deputy responded to a domestic violence report on Sunday around 4 a.m. and ended up in a short pursuit with the suspect.
The pursuit ended when 26-year-old Max McCall drove his vehicle into a ditch on the southwest side of York. He emerged from his vehicle with a rifle and fired twice at the deputy, who was not hit. The officer returned fire, striking McCall twice.
McCall was then air-lifted to a Lincoln hospital, where Radcliff says he is expected to recover.
