Authorities have identified the 33–year–old Grand Island woman who was killed in a one-vehicle crash in Grand Island Sunday.
Jamie Sandante was killed after the car she was riding in crashed into a tree.
Grand Island Sergeant Todd Dvorak says the accident occurred early Sunday morning on west Old Highway 30. He says the car was headed east on the highway at around 1:30 a.m. when it left the roadway, went into a ditch and struck a tree.
The car's driver, Johnny Alvarez, 29, was airlifted to Bryan LGH in Lincoln.
Authorities believe Sandante was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
