Two city employees in Minden were rescued from a sewer Sunday afternoon.
NTV News has learned that one of the men, Bob Honomichl, is in critical condition at Good Samaritan hospital in Kearney.
He and Mike Kleen, the city's sewer plant manager, were clearing a blockage in a Minden city sewer line when they became overcome with the toxic gasses in the manhole they were working in.
The Minden Fire Department responded to the scene and pulled both workers to safety. They were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
The incident is currently under investigation.
