A 40-year-old Lincoln woman is recovering after being stabbed in the face with her own high-heeled shoe.
Lincoln Police Capt. David Beggs said the woman was assaulted just before 3 a.m. Sunday in a downtown alley while she stood near her car.
Beggs says the victim was approached by a 28-year-old woman, and the two began to argue.
The younger woman grabbed one of the victim's shoes from her hand and struck her in the face with it, puncturing the woman's cheek. She then began to choke and punch the victim.
The 40-year-old was taken to a Lincoln hospital where the heel had to be removed from her cheek. She was treated and released.
The 28-year-old woman was arrested on an assault charge.
