The return of cooler weather and the Labor Day holiday could mean a big weekend for the Nebraska State Fair.
Saturday, Sunday, and Monday -- the fair has just three days left. And temperatures should be lower than the 100 degrees it has felt like for much of the fair's run in 2013.
Still on tap are big concerts by Chicago and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Plus literally thousands of events, activities, and interactive displays across the grounds.
The heat has hurt attendance, but State Fair Board Chair Jana Kruger says not as much as some may think. And customer satisfaction scores continue to run high.
The owner of Wade Shows, the new carnival operator said he too has been impressed with the quality of the fair.
Wade Shows has brought in more rides than the fair has seen in the past, including unique rides not usually found at fairs, like a log flume ride, roller coaster, and several others.
