According to authorities
five students have been treated for minor injuries suffered when their school
bus was struck by a car in southeast Nebraska.
The Nebraska State
Patrol says the accident occurred just after 8 a.m. Tuesday at a rural
intersection southeast of Waverly.
The bus was carrying
45 students and had halted at a stop sign. It was starting to move again when
it was struck from behind.
Five students ranging
in age from 11 to 14 were taken to a Lincoln hospital. The bus driver wasn't

identified as 23-year-old Tiffany Wiley, of Lincoln and she required no medical

told officers that road dust obscured her view of the bus and they cited her for
following too closely.
