A 25-year-old California woman is in jail for transporting what officials believe to be cocaine across Nebraska.
Nicole Rhoads was arrested Saturday after a trooper with the Nebraska State Patrol pulled over her vehicle about two miles west of North Platt on Interstate 80.
Authorities say the trooper found about 20 pounds of what he suspected was cocaine in the vehicle. The substance has been
sent for tests at the patrol's crime lab.
Rhoads was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to sell and taken to the Lincoln County jail.
A five-year-old child who was traveling with Rhoads was turned over to Nebraska authorities.
