A southeast Nebraska dog breeder is set to be sentenced next month after being convicted of animal neglect.
According to court records, 61-year-old Julie Hudson pleaded no contest Thursday to misdemeanor cruel neglect towards animals.
Authorities say the found 62 adult dogs and 13 puppies at Hudson's kennels in Malcolm last January. They say the dogs' cages were filthy, covered in feces and urine. Water for the dogs placed outside had also frozen.
