DHHS Receives Half-Million-Dollar Grant for Youth Suffering Emotional Trauma

- The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services has been awarded over a half-million
dollars from the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services
The award is part of a
system-of-care expansion planning grant.
The purpose of the
one-year grant is to develop a comprehensive strategic plan to expand and
sustain the system-of-care approach to providing services for children and
youth with serious emotional disturbances and their families.
"The planning that
will occur through this grant is intended to improve services and various
systems to address the behavioral health needs of children and their families
in Nebraska," said Scot L. Adams, director of the Division of Behavioral

person's health and well-being."
