Moving forward and increasing visibility, a Kearney museum's new director's vision focuses on enhancing education.
Kristi Behlmann showed off an interactive exhibit at the Nebraska Firefighter's Museum in Kearney that does just that.
She comes to the museum with a marketing background, and hopes to enhance its visibility out in the communities.
With new goals like a traveling exhibit, Behlmann is excited to be part of something so unique.
"I was really excited to be a part of the museum. I think it's wonderful that the Nebraska Firefighter's Foundation chose to build this facility to honor everyone here who's done so much work to keep Nebraska safe," said Behlmann. "And I think it's a great tribute and a great resource. Not every state can boast they have a facility such as ours."
Upcoming events include the museum's exhibit rotation later this month; and Fire Prevention Week will focus on kitchen safety during the week of October 6–14.
