A Kearney business is celebrating new improvements, while another celebrates a new beginning.
The Fort Kearney Shooting Sports Association held an open house Monday night to show off its new club house.
The project has been in the works since 2005, and just last year was only brick walls.
Officials are proud of the work put into the new facility.
"All the hard stuff you see in the building we pay for, but for the probably 90 percent of it is done by volunteers. That from the sheet rock to the windows, the wood around the windows, laying the floor, everything," said club president Michelle Stover. "It's all these volunteers that step up and want this place to be as nice as it is."
Monday night's open house also played host to a ribbon cutting ceremony for Precision Training and Tactics, which offers training to build personal defensive skills.
