One new Kearney organization is making plans to help those
affected by the devastating floods in Colorado.
Restore Ministries has announced they will make at least three
trips to Colorado starting in October.
Michael O'Brien, one of Restore Ministries' founders, says he expects around 30 volunteers with the newly formed group to travel to the flood ravaged state to help with cleanup efforts. He said volunteers will take a 26 foot cargo truck and trailer loaded with tools, equipment and other supplies to help in the cleanup.
According to O'Brien, Restore Ministries was formed after nearly 50 volunteers from the Kearney Evangelical Free Church went to Moore, Okla. following last spring's damaging tornadoes. He says that volunteer effort led to the start up of Restore.
