This week we honor a Holdrege High School
graduate, Lance Corporal Joshua Wilson.
His family also calls Holdrege home,
including his mom, Kate, stepfather, Clarence and late father, Fredrick.
Josh graduated from his home town high
school in 2010 and shortly after joined the marines.
He is a heavy equipment operator in
the 8th communication battalion Camp in North Carolina.
His late grandfather Frank Cassidy
also had a military background and was very proud of his grandson for following
in his footsteps and serving his country.
Joshua was nominated by his best
friend Dustin's mom, Vickie. She said Josh is someone who will make you smile
and laugh and is very close to his family.
She said it's hard on his mom to have
him stationed away from home but she and the rest of his friends and family are
so proud of his accomplishments and send him lots of love.
