Wal-Mart is upping
its holiday hiring.
The world's largest
retailer said that it is bringing on 55,000 seasonal workers to handle the Christmas
rush this year. That's up from 50,000 last year.
To compare their
hiring hike with another major retailer, target plans to hire fewer holiday
workers this year.
plans to hire about 70,000 employees, more than Wal-Mart's 55,000, but still
down from their 88,000 seasonal hires last year.
If you're interested in seasonal employment head to the
retailer's website or stop by a local store in person to apply.
