Trying to Kick the Habit? St. Francis Hosts Classes For Quitters

Grand Island — Interested in dropping the tobacco habit?
Saint Francis Medical Center's Cancer Treatment Center is offering a Freedom From Smoking tobacco cessation class. The class will meet for eight sessions in seven weeks, beginning Oct. 14.
The class is open to anyone in the community who is interested in quitting tobacco use. The Freedom From Smoking program was designed by the American Lung Association and teaches participants how to quit for good in a supportive setting.
Freedom From Smoking will be co-led by certified facilitators Ann Tvrdy, MSN, CRNI, and Connie Hameloth, RN, both employees of the Saint Francis Cancer Treatment Center.
Class dates: Oct. 14, Oct. 21, Oct. 28, Nov. 4, Nov. 6, Nov. 11, Nov. 18 and Nov. 25.
Time: 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Location: Saint Francis Cancer Treatment Center lobby
Registration is encouraged by Oct. 7, and the class is limited to 12 participants.
