Apps to Keep Your Kids Safe on Halloween

Posted: Updated:

Halloween can be a scary time, especially for parents whose kids may be heading out to do some trick-or-treating. However, there are some smartphone apps available to help make Halloween a little safer for trick–or–treaters.

Those apps include:

Family Locator – With this simple, secure app families can keep track or their trick–or–treaters with a detailed map and turn–by–turn directions. It also will generate a text or email when family members leave or arrive at designated locations.

Flashlight – When the sun goes down, this app will help light the way from street to street – while making children visible to drivers. Many free versions of this app are available and most include a flashing light function for use in emergencies.

FBI Child ID – This free app provides parents with a convenient place to electronically store photos and vital information about their children. They can save hair color, weight and other important information that might be needed in case of an emergency.

For more information, contact your local Verizon store.
