Autopsies have been ordered for a southeast Nebraska couple found dead in their home over the weekend.
The bodies of Myron and Charles Bailey were found in a bedroom Saturday morning in their home near McCool Junction.
Neighbors called the fire department after noticing smoke coming from the home around 10 a.m. Saturday. The firefighters found a small fire in the living room and then discovered the elderly couple's bodies in the bedroom.
According to York County Attorney Candace Dick, investigators believe the fire started accidentally overnight and was continuing to smolder when neighbors arrived to deliver breakfast to the couple.
The Baileys are believed to have been in their 80s.
Dick says nothing suspicious was found, but autopsies have been ordered.
