Children's Day Festival to Also Provide Parents with Health, Safety Information

Posted: Updated:

The 20th annual Children's Day Festival is being held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, November 10 at the Fonner Park concourse.

The event offers parents a chance to have a little free fun with their kids and pick up some information on how to keep them safe and healthy.

Some of the activities included are: St Francis Emergency Department will be doing teddy bear health checks (so kids will need to bring their teddy bears from home.); Nebraska State Patrol is bringing the Roll Over Simulator; Central Nebraska Health Department will have Scrubby Bear; Coventry Care of Nebraska is bringing the Wii for kids and parents to play together; Danger football players will be in attendance; Infant and Toddlers will be making balloon animals; plus much more.

The Association for Child Abuse Prevention Coalition hopes to have 500-600 children and families attend this event.
