NTV's Own Colleen Williams Heads to L.A. for Prestigious Award Ceremony

Posted: Updated:

NTV evening anchor Colleen Williams is headed to Los Angeles for the Academy Nicholl Fellowship Award Ceremony.

Colleen wrote a screenplay based on a famous Nebraskan whom she learned about during her Road Less Traveled series.

It's about a guy from Grant: Henry Beachell. For the past few years, Colleen and her writing partner, Heather Petersen, have been working on a script.

First they had to teach themselves how to write a screenplay. Then they entered a few contests until becoming semi–finalists in the Academy Nicholl Fellowships for screen writing.

Earlier this week she spoke with the director of the contest, Greg Beal, to find out what it's all about.
