Making science fun, easy to understand, and encouraging students to learn are just some of the reasons one local teacher was nominated for NTV's Outstanding Teacher award.
Wood River's Biology teacher Tim Sanderson was honored as October's Outstanding Teacher.
Tanner Johnson sent in the nomination, including in his letter that he likes Sanderson's use of technology to help his students advance in the real world.
"Mr. Sanderson uses iPads in almost all of his lessons," said student Tanner Johnson. "So it's really helping us in the future because almost all careers or jobs in the future are going to use some sort of technology."
"I enjoy working with kids. I really enjoy science and I see my job as not only a way to impart science," said award winner Tim Sanderson. "But you know, help the kids, mentor the kids. I do that with coaching, FCA, things like that."
Congratulations to Wood River High School's Tim Sanderson for being October's Outstanding Teacher.
