The Leprino cheese
plant in Ravenna has closed its doors.
Last summer NTV News
learned of the impending closure affecting over 170 workers and their families.
Friday marked the last day of production.
produces string cheese and is a highly successful company based out of Denver
with plants around the country.
At the time of the
announcement company officials cited the shortage of dairies in Nebraska as the
reason for closing doors in the Ravenna plant.
