The U.S. Air Force blasted 29 satellites into orbit Tuesday night.
The rocket launched from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. One of the satellites is the first to be built entirely by high schoolers.
The TJ3SAT was created by students at Virginia's Thomas Jefferson High School for science and technology. It weighed about three pounds and took seven years to build.
The satellite will allow students and amateur radio users the opportunity to send and receive data from it.
