Gas prices in Nebraska are heading back down after spending the past few weeks inching up back over the three-dollar mark, but the change remains slight.
According to GasBuddy, the average price for a gallon of gas in Nebraska fell nearly 1 cent over the last week, to $3.06 per gallon on Sunday.
The national average fell just slightly more than that to $3.25 per gallon, a drop of 1.4 cents per gallon.
Prices in Nebraska remain well under where they were a year ago and just slightly less than at this time last month.
Petroleum Analyst Gregg Laskoski says the nominal declines should continue across the country into this coming week.
"With the government's report of healthy
fuel inventories and U.S. refinery output reaching its highest level since
early October, the savings at the pump is coming just in time," Laskoski
