Sudanese Community Reacts to Nelson Mandela's Death

As the world continues to mourn the loss of former South African President Nelson Mandela, local Africa-natives are speaking out.

Peter Lokodu, the leader of the Sudanese Community of Grand Island released the following statement Saturday:

"Our message in general is that, on behave of Sudanese Community in Grand Island, we would like to pass our condolence and prayers for all Africans families here in Nebraska for this rejoicing moment and sad moment on behave of the world and our Africa leader Nelson Mandala.

"We are going to miss him. He was and he will be our inspiration leader who brought reconciliation and transformation to the whole world, especially to South Africa. He will rest in Peace."

Mandela died Thursday at age 95.
