The Kearney City Council is looking for community members to serve on an advisory committee for the Great Platte River Road Archway.
The decision to form the Archway Advisory Committee comes after council members voted to provide funding for the attraction that spans Interstate 80 just east of the Kearney interchange. The city will also take over maintenance and operations at the museum and buildings.
Those interested in serving on the Archway Advisory Committee should fill out an Expression of Interest form before Jan. 15 and return it to the city clerk for consideration.
The form can be obtained at the city clerk's office located at City Hall, 18 East 22nd Street, or by going to the city's website.
Questions should be directed to City Manager Michael Morgan at 308.233.3214.
