A free will donation will be taken.  Please come out and show your support for Kris and at the same time you can get some Holiday shopping done by bidding on some great gifts at the silent auction.

Donations can be made at Banner Capital Bank in Alma, NE or by writing to Banner Capital Bank, Attn: Kris Tripe Benefit, PO Box 220, Alma, NE 68920.

In February 2013, Kris Tripe was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a form of cancer that originates in bone marrow.  Kris suffered significant damage to vertebrae, her kidneys, and other lesions on her bones from the cancer.

After 53 days in the hospital, some extensive surgeries, a stem cell transplant and more tests than anyone could imagine, Kris has gotten the upper hand and her cancer is in remission.  Now her focus turns to cleaning up the mess that was made and her ongoing treatment as this form of cancer is never technically "gone".  Throughout all of this, Kris has kept an incredible outlook and put up an amazing fight.  The treatments have been long and not always geographically convenient, needless to say.

They have also not been cheap, as the medical bills from this fight are staggering, even with insurance.  That is why we hope you will join us for a benefit to help give a hand up and show support for a person that has been there for so many other people when they needed someone.  If you are in a position to help, we welcome donations of any amount to help offset the costs of this fight.  This is a great chance to do something great to help a good person.  We hope you will join us to show support for someone who stared down some of the ugliest things cancer has to offer, and keeps on punching back.
