A Miller teen accused of stabbing two employees of the Nebraska Youth Center in North Platte has been deemed competent to stand trial.

Keenan Lambert appeared in Lincoln County District Court on Monday and was found competent based on a psychological evaluation.

Lambert pleaded not guilty to two charges of attempted first-degree murder as well as use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, escape and theft.

According to authorities, Lambert and another teen stabbed two female youth center employees in July and then fled in one of the employees' vehicles. The workers were hospitalized and have recovered.

The other accused teen is a juvenile.
