It'll be a Christmas to remember for some local kids, who will spend their holiday break at the Holiday Bowl.
On a break during semester tests, the Viking Marching Band marches through neighborhoods surrounding Grand Island Northwest.
A 16 degree wind chill is far from ideal when carrying a brass instrument, but in a few days they'll be marching in sunny San Diego.
Drum Major Riley Shenk said, "We're excited to get into warm weather... San Diego we're expecting 60 degrees, 70 degrees every single day."
They will perform in the nationally televised San Diego Big Bay Balloon Parade. They will also march at Disneyland.
