Governor Dave Heineman has appointed
Mark Fahleson, a Lincoln lawyer, to serve on the Nebraska State Fair Board of Directors.
"We are very excited to have Mark on our board," said Joseph McDermott,
State Fair executive director.
Since 1978, there has been only two state fairs that Fahleson has not attended. He grew up on a farm near Davey and showed cattle at the fair from the time he was 10 years old all the way through college.
Fahleson graduated from the University of Nebraska
College of Agriculture with Ag Honors, and then went on to graduate from the University of Nebraska College of Law. He currently works as a partner at Rembolt Ludke LLP in Lincoln.
"We welcome Mark to the board, and we look forward to drawing on
his expertise in both law and as a State Fair aficionado," said Jana Kruger, State Fair board chair.
Fahleson is filling the seat left empty by Tam Allan of Lincoln, who left the board after
fulfilling three terms.
