Hastings - The Hastings College men's basketball team put on a shooting clinic in the first half led by Brady Lollman as Hastings downed Mount Marty 78-61 on Saturday at Lynn Farrell Arena.
Lollman scored 21 of his game high 28 points in the first half connecting on five of his first six three-point attempts as Hastings led 49-26 at the half. Mount Marty only made three from downtown all game long.
Lollman would get some help from his teammates in the second half as Jake Hamburger would finish with 15 points while Brett Wells added 11 and Tobin Reinwald had ten points off the bench. Wells also added six steals along with six rebounds.
Mount Marty couldn't seem to get out of its own way in the first half committing 16 turnovers compared to just eight for the Broncos.
The Lancers were led by Bud Smith as he finished with 15 points.
With the win, Hastings improves to 11-2 (6-1) on the year and will be back in action Saturday Dec. 28 hitting the road to take on NAIA No. 19 Saint Thomas with tip-off set for 6:00 p.m. in Miami, FL.
