A Grand Island congregation celebrated a milestone as members continue to share the Christmas spirit with the community.
For 40 years Evangelical Free Church members have transported thousands of audience members back to Bethlehem, sharing the story of Christ from beginning to end.
Organizers said the tradition has become an important part of the community.
"It's really a family event and it's fun to see the families that have cycled. Some of them are second and third year generations coming through here. Some kids come back from college to participate in weekends with the family. It's really just been a growing thing," said Marty Gorden, drama director.
The Singing Christmas Tree wrapped up its last 40th anniversary show Sunday night.
