A Grand Island man was arrested Sunday after fleeing police.

G.I. Police said they caught the man trespassing at Fonner Park about 2:45 p.m.; but when they confronted him, he took off in his vehicle.

Nathan Musquiz, 23, was arrested about a half hour later when police caught up to him in the 800 block of West 14th Street.

Authorities said he had several warrants including some for drug charges, obstructing an officer and driving on a suspended license.

It isn't the first time warrants have landed Musquiz behind bars.

Back in July, G.I. police arrested him in the crowd following a stand-off near Grand Island's Five Points.
