Crop Production Clinic Brings Ag Producers around the State to Adams County

Posted: Updated:

Crop production is a vast and important component in agriculture, and was the main focus Thursday during one of UNL's largest winter extension clinics.

About 180 ag producers from across the state attended the clinic.

It's a chance for those in the industry to hear first hand new information about technology and data found over the past year.

Pest management and safety, as well as soil, water and crop management were the main topics of discussion.

"We try to bring some of the latest research that we do at the university to growers and crop consultants, basically people in the ag industry," said UNL Extension educator Lowell Sandell.

New technologies in ag are also big components at these clinics. In an industry where technology is ever changing, a year's time can make a big difference.
